Idaho District Employees Association

District Employees are encouraged to participate in all available training opportunities.  To provide financial assistance,  IDEA offers workshops discussed below and Professional Growth Scholarships.

IDEA Workshops

Workshop Funding - Annually, IDEA receives funding for workshops from three different sources.  Each funding source is a different fiscal year, therefore making budget requests, based on those fiscal years, very crucial.  The following is a breakdown...........

The budget requests for each source are based on each agencies fiscal year.  IDEA must send in a request prior to the end of the agency's fiscal year.

Below is a guide on how to plan your division workshop:

1. Determine wants and/or needs of district employees

 - Conduct a Survey

 - Previously Requested Workshops

 

2. Work up budget which includes:

 - Travel Expenses

 - Facility Expenses

 - Instructor Costs

 - Supply Expenses

 

3. Submit request forms to ISCC and NRCS through IDEA President (request for funds from IDEA is routed through each Director)

5. Evaluate Workshop

6. Submit Documentation for Reimbursement
